Charity concert “Hear by Heart” under auspices of Silvia Gašparovičová

On Friday 7 April, Silvia Gašparovičová took part in the 13th charity concert “Hear by Heart” held under her patronage. This event is arranged by the Vlado Kulíšek Foundation – Hear by Heart and the First Lady took patronage for the second time. Vlado Kulíšek is a mime who established the foundation for the support of children with hearing disabilities and is strongly supporting them. The children with one of the most severe disabilities are very sensitive to art performances such as pantomime, dancing, acrobatics or magic included in the program of the concert. Such concerts make the children find their way to get integrated in the life of the hearing people as the performances present not only professional artists, but also children from schools specialised in education of children with hearing disabilities from all over the country. A part of the event is a show presenting their skills achieved in artistic clubs. The 13th year of this event was held for the third time in the Theatre Arena in Bratislava in a joint effort of the Vlado Kulíšek Foundation - Hear by Heart and the Elementary Boarding School in Drotárska Street.

The First Lady opened the concert saying: “Hear by Heart is the name of today‘s charity concert I have pleasure to be its patron. But to hear by heart is also a challenge for all of us not reluctant to lives of the people with hearing disabilities. I believe that humanity and solidarity are attributes calling for hearts being open to those affected by unfavourable fortune. The Vlado Kulíšek Foundation is an example of how effectively we can help deaf children, enable them to get fully integrated in life and convey artistic values to them.”
