The second day of the official visit of the Slovenian President and his wife, both First Ladies visited the Red Stone Castle. The origins of the castle dates back to the first half of the 13th century. The castle was several times rebuilt, finally into a noble residence with rich baroque decoration. Today the castle is a gallery, a museum of antique furniture and weapons with rare historical art objects.
In the afternoon, Mrs. Barbara Miklic Türk and Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová got familiar with the production of traditional ceramics from Modra. Majolica products are till now manually dialed at a potter's wheel, after first firing and underlying glaze hand decoration is applied to the products according to historical paint color cards.
