The most important activity is the organizing of free blood donation, which becomes more and more successful every year. Equally important is the lobbying and public education of the SRC – e. g. the current nationwide collection ´Together we will help´ proclaimed for the period of May," said Silvia Gašparovičová. From the hands of the spouse of the President took the Slovak Red Cross Medal "For Saving a Life" Mr. Peter Kvasnica, who rescued a drowning girl from the river Váh by taking the risk of his own live and health.
