The presidents of Slovakia and Slovenia paid tribute to the victims of totalitarianism at the Gate of Freedom

The president of the Slovak Republic and the president of the Republic of Slovenia honoured the memory of the victims of totalitarianism.

To conclude the official visit of the Slovenian president to Slovakia, Zuzana Čaputová and Borut Pahor laid wreaths at the Gate of Freedom monument in Devín. According to the Slovak president the price of our freedom had been too high and it must never be forgotten. Only by recalling what we paid for our freedom will we appreciate and preserve the values that now unite us with other democratic states of the European Union.
