The Presidential Palace opens its doors to the public

The Presidential Palace will open its doors to the public on Saturday, August 30th. This year, for the first time in history, Open Door Day will be held at the Presidential Palace and the National Council of the Slovak Republic on the same date.  As a result, the public will have the unique opportunity to see the residence of the head of state and the parliament on the same day. The Presidential Palace will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Visitors will be able to see the rooms in which the head of state receives official visits, and where constitutional acts and other important events take place. Open Door Day will also include an accompanying program featuring displays of vehicles from the Office for the Protection of Constitutional Officials and Diplomatic Missions of the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic, and the Train Patrol, a project of the Slovak Railway Company, which includes the participation four cheerful heroes inspired by real railway employees. The Honorary Guard of the President of the Slovak Republic, the Slovak Post, the Slovak Olympic Committee, the Bratislava Self-Governing Region, the International Visegrad Fund, as well as the VEDA V KOCKE (SCIENCE IN A BOX) project will also have stands and activities on the palace premises. Details about the program can be found on the social networks of the Presidential Palace.

Admission to the event is free and no prior registration is required. The Office of the President of the Slovak Republic invites everyone to come and experience the atmosphere of the Presidential Palace in person.
