President Čaputová to participate in the V4 Summit in Poland

The President of the Slovak Republic Zuzana Čaputová to participate in the meeting of the Presidents of the Visegrad Group States on 9th – 10th February in Poland.

Their gathering takes place at the Residence of the Poland’s President on the Hel Peninsula. During the meeting, the V4 presidents will commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the foundation of the Visegrad Group. Summit discussions will cover current affairs such as post covid-19 economic recovery as well as climate and energy security.

Originally, the Polish Presidency of the V4 had planned the Heads of State meeting for autumn 2020. Due to the pandemic, it has been rescheduled for early 2021. The summit is taking place under strict epidemiological and safety conditions.

Before her return from Poland, President Čaputová will take a RT-PCR test. She had not requested an exemption from the current travel restrictions and, upon her arrival to Slovakia, will be in a voluntary self-isolation until the end of the week before taking another RT-PCR test.
